Which one
Honestly, which package is right for you
Both packages run the same hours, usually something like half ten in the morning until half eight at night. The Complete Story is not a longer day, it is a fuller one.
Core is probably right if
- Your wedding is on the slightly smaller side
- You are not looking for all the extras, you want a lovely set of essential memories
- A shorter film that shows as much of the day, in slightly less detail, is what you are after
- Everything under one roof, or a church and then a venue. Either works
The Complete Story is probably right if
- You want to cherish the longer moments: the first look with your dad, more of the vows, more of the readings, more of the speeches
- You would rather the film built a story around those speaking moments than sampled them
- You want more angles and more faces, so the edit can change pace between the suspense, the joy and the emotion
Three signs one camera will not be enough
If any of these describe your day, the second videographer stops being a nice extra and starts being the thing that decides what ends up in your film.

You are getting ready in separate places
If you both want following from the start of the day and you are not in the same building, one camera has to choose. Two does not.

More than 100 day guests
If capturing as many of your guests as possible matters to you, a second filmmaker is what makes that realistic in a full room.

A packed schedule
I have to set up for the speeches and pack down the ceremony rig, and those are windows where things get missed. On Core I also need about 20 minutes in the ceremony room before you, so a late first look can slip past me.
What the second filmmaker is actually off doing

- Quiet portraits of the two of you, while your guests carry on enjoying themselves
- Guest reactions through the ceremony, filmed by someone whose only job that is

- Groom prep, which gets overlooked more than anything else on a wedding day
If you only want the longer film
Some couples want a 14 to 18 minute film and genuinely do not need a second filmmaker. If that is you, do not buy The Complete Story. Add the extended feature film to the Core package for £250 instead and keep the difference.
What you give up by doing that is everything in the list above, which is a fair trade for plenty of weddings. I would rather tell you that than take the larger booking.

The value of a second videographer
More of your day, from more angles
With one videographer, every angle is a decision: a tripod moved, a lens changed, a few seconds where the camera isn't quite where the moment is happening. With two, there's far less time spent adjusting kit, setting up tripods and checking audio, and far more time simply filming. That means less down-time across your day, and more of it captured, including the moments that would usually pass by unfilmed.

Vintage camera footage, woven through your film
Alongside the main cameras I bring a vintage style camera that mimics Super 8. Soft, grainy, a bit washed out, and nothing like the clean 4K everything else is shot on.
That is the whole point of it. It looks like a memory rather than a recording. Cut in among the sharp footage, those few seconds land differently, because your brain reads them as something you are remembering rather than something you are watching.
It is also honest. Handheld, unsteady, nobody looking their best, no grading to rescue it. The unpolished bits are the ones couples end up loving, and they are the hardest thing to fake.
It is the closest thing I have found to how a wedding actually feels afterwards: half of it sharp and in order, half of it warm and out of focus.
Guests notice the camera too, which is a small bonus. It looks like an object rather than equipment, so people lean in rather than straighten up.
Why not real Super 8? Cost and waiting. Film adds steps, time and a significant bill, and I would not see a frame of it until weeks later. This way I can watch it back the same night and build it into the plan for your film. You get the look without the wait.
Free on both packages, just ask. You can also borrow a camera in the months before the wedding to capture your own moments, for a small charge.

We meet properly before anything is signed so you get to ask any questions and I can explain everything in as much detail as you need.
Securing your date
Once you are happy I send over links to your client portal, contract, invoice, schedule and questionnaire, all in one place. I ask for £200 to secure the date with the remaining balance due 6 weeks before your wedding.

How do I book you for our wedding?
Send an enquiry with your date and venue, then we have a video call so you can meet me and ask anything. A £200 booking fee secures the date, and I send you a client portal holding your contract, invoice, schedule and questionnaire in one place.
How much is the booking fee?
£200 secures your date. The remaining balance is due before the wedding, and you get automatic reminders for it six weeks beforehand alongside your questionnaire.
What happens in the run-up to the wedding?
Six weeks before, automatic reminders go out for your questionnaire and your remaining balance. If anything needs talking through we have a second video call, and I confirm exactly what time I will arrive on the day.
When do we get our wedding films?
Your teaser is expected within 6 to 9 weeks of the wedding, with everything else following within a week of that. Films are delivered on Vidflow, on your own private page, watchable on any smart device and downloadable for 10 years.
