What's Changed at the End of the 2026 Season

4 October 2026

The 2026 season is done. Between now and the spring I am editing, catching up with couples, and getting 2027 straight, which is the point in the year where I look properly at what I offer rather than just carrying last year forward.

A few things have changed, and not cosmetically. Here is all of it, including the bit that costs me money.

The Complete Story now costs £2,540

It was £2,750. It now includes more than it did.

That is not a typo and it is not a sale. It is deliberate, and the reason is simple: I want more couples on two cameras.

Every time I film a wedding with a second videographer, the finished film is noticeably better, and not in a subtle way. But at £2,750 not enough couples were reaching for it, so most weddings carried on being filmed by one person. Dropping the price is the most direct thing I can do about that.

What the extra £440 actually buys

The two packages are now £2,100 and £2,540. So the decision is a £440 one, and I think it is worth doing the arithmetic out loud.

For that £440 you get three things:

  • A second videographer with me for the whole day
  • A 4 to 6 minute highlight film
  • Your feature film extended from 6 to 8 minutes up to 14 to 18 minutes

Here is the part worth noticing. If you book the Core package and add the extended feature film on its own, that extra costs £250. Which means the remaining £190 is buying you an entire second filmmaker for your whole wedding day, plus a highlight film that did not exist before.

Across the industry, a second shooter usually adds something close to a second day rate. £190 does not cover what a second filmmaker costs me. That is the point of the change rather than an accident of it.

What is in each package now

Core, £2,100

  • Pre-wedding consultation
  • 10 hours of full-day coverage
  • A 6 to 8 minute cinematic feature film
  • A 60 second film trailer
  • Your ceremony in full
  • Your speeches in full
  • Drone footage
  • 6 to 9 week expected turnaround

The Complete Story, £2,540

  • Pre-wedding consultation
  • 10 hours of full-day coverage
  • A second videographer throughout your day
  • A 60 second film trailer
  • A 4 to 6 minute highlight film
  • A 14 to 18 minute feature film
  • Your ceremony in full
  • Your speeches in full
  • Drone footage
  • 6 to 9 week expected turnaround

Both packages now include your ceremony and your speeches in full, as standalone films, at no extra cost. That used to be an add-on. It is the part of the day couples rewatch most, so charging separately for it had started to feel wrong.

Why a second videographer changes the film

With one camera, every angle is a decision. A tripod gets moved, a lens gets changed, and for a few seconds the camera is not quite where the moment is happening.

With two of us there is far less time spent setting up and checking audio, and far more time simply filming. In practice that means:

  • Guest reactions and laughter during the speeches, caught while the main camera stays on the speaker
  • Happy tears in the ceremony, from both sides of the room at once
  • Both of you getting ready, in different rooms, at the same time
  • Wide shots and close detail filmed together rather than one after the other

The full breakdown of both packages is on the Investment page.

Films now come back in 6 to 9 weeks

Turnaround used to be quoted at 6 to 12 weeks. It is now 6 to 9.

That is not me working later into the night. It is because my editor is booked in before your wedding rather than after it, so your first draft usually comes back to me about four weeks after the day. I have written about how that works and who actually makes your film here.

To be clear about the language: 6 to 9 weeks is the expected turnaround, not a contractual guarantee. I would rather tell you what normally happens than quote a number designed to be unbeatable.

What has gone

The 1 week anniversary teaser has been discontinued. It was a nice idea that too few couples took up to justify keeping the workflow for it, and every package now includes a 60 second film trailer anyway.

The extended feature film is still available on the Core package as an optional extra, now at £250 for 14 to 18 minutes. The home movie is still £400.

What has not changed

  • I still film a maximum of 15 weddings a year, and I still film every single one of them personally
  • The first 50 miles of travel are still included, which covers all of Staffordshire and Derbyshire
  • Your films still arrive on Vidflow, on your own private page, downloadable, stored for 10 years

2027 and 2028 dates

The cap is the bit worth paying attention to if you are reading this while planning. Fifteen weddings is not many, and the summer Saturdays go first.

If you are getting married in Derbyshire, Staffordshire or Nottinghamshire in 2027 or 2028, send me your date and I will tell you honestly whether it is free. If your budget does not stretch to either package, say so when you enquire. I would rather have that conversation than not hear from you.

Frequently asked questions

How much does wedding videography cost for 2027?

The Core package is £2,100 and includes 10 hours of coverage, a 6 to 8 minute cinematic feature film, a 60 second film trailer, and your ceremony and speeches in full. The Complete Story package is £2,540 and adds a second videographer, a 4 to 6 minute highlight film, and a 14 to 18 minute feature film. Both include drone footage and the first 50 miles of travel.

Why did the Complete Story package get cheaper?

Deliberately, to get more couples onto two cameras. Weddings filmed with a second videographer produce a noticeably better film, but at £2,750 too few couples were choosing it. The price came down to £2,540 while the package gained a highlight film and a longer feature film.

What is the difference between the Core and Complete Story packages?

£440. For that you get a second videographer for the whole day, a 4 to 6 minute highlight film, and your feature film extended from 6 to 8 minutes up to 14 to 18 minutes. Bought on its own, the extended feature film alone is £250, so the remaining £190 covers the second filmmaker and the highlight film.

Are the ceremony and speeches included as standard?

Yes, in both packages, as standalone films at no extra cost. They used to be paid add-ons. They are the films couples rewatch most, so they are now included.

How long do wedding films take to arrive?

The expected turnaround is 6 to 9 weeks for your teaser, with everything else following within a week of that. It used to be 6 to 12 weeks. The editor is booked before the wedding rather than after it, which is what makes the shorter turnaround possible.

Do you still offer the 1 week anniversary teaser?

No, it has been discontinued. Too few couples took it up to justify keeping it, and both packages now include a 60 second film trailer as standard.

How many weddings do you take each year?

A maximum of 15, all filmed personally by Andy Tattersall. That cap is why 2027 and 2028 summer Saturdays tend to go early, and why it is worth checking your date sooner rather than later.
